this is truly a little gem of a motel. has fantastic views across Lorne's Half Moon Bay. close to everything. Whilst we booked standard room we were surprised at how roomy it was. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. They also supply kettle toaster and microwave which come in handy. The only problem we encountered was with TV reception. wasn't a big issue as your hardly in your room long enough.
Great central location opposite the beach and amongst the shops & cafes. Good clean basic & reasonably priced accommodation. Friendly, helpful staff.
Fantastic beach views, clean rooms serviced daily and includes a surprisingly comfortable bed. Close to everything you could possibly walk to of interest in Lorne and a short drive to the pier. Wi-Fi is fast and doesn't fail often which is notoriously famous in similar places that you stay in. Bathrooms modern, however, watch your step going in, the floor raises slightly, can trip over and the shower water temperature can become unstable from hot to cold.
With a direct beach view it's easy to get lost in holiday mode. Perfect location in the centre of town making it easy to come and go during the day for quick naps in a full packed day exploring. Carparking off street a bit narrow for each car but does the job. Inside the room we stayed, basic kitchenette making it easy to have takeaways and can reheat the next day with a microwave also included. Super surprised with a very comfy bed no issues and perfect view from bed to watch the ocean and to people watch. Bathroom is what brings it down, with very touchy temperature control in the shower hot one minute cold the next all of a sudden, noticed didn't have this problem however when showered late at night, maybe it's variable when other guests use their showers at the same time? No hand towels/ face towels in the supplied linen so just had to make do with using the spare towel. Simple faults in bathroom like loose tap spout and finding an old soap already in shower a bit off putting, assuming that this was just simply overlooked. Overall would recommend based on location and comfy basic facilities. Price reasonable for long weekend rates.
