This could be a nice place to camp however it is just a showcase of how disgusting humans are. The campsite and about 30 meters all around it are strewn with human waste and toilet paper. I have been to many many campsite and this is one of the most disgusting, just one huge toilet!!Facilities are supposed to be for self contained only and if not people should take all rubbish with them.How hard is it for people to dig small hole for waste and take a small bag '(doggy bags' are great), put used paper in and take it away!!!I took a bin bag full of other peoples bottles, beer caps and rubbish away with me.
I've spent a night here after a long journey along The Great Ocean Road. Its free and they have 6 numbered camp site. But you can park in the other places when its full. There is no toilet or shower facility. Toilet is 20 min walk across the other picnic area. The nearest town is Lorn and just 15 min drive away from the camp site. It is quie, safe and closer to the beach. I will recommmed if you want to save some money or want the peacefulness. 3 stars as no toilet around.
Nice nature, little lake and river. Waterfalls are close to the campground. Space is small so better be early to get a spot. Ground is not flat, so you have to search for a good spot.
6 space campsite, first in, geared toward car campers. Nice flat sites with a little billabong between the 2 sets of 3. No water or toilet. No fires or dogs permitted (didn't stop the people camped there with us though :( )
Quiet and there is a large pond. Beautiful trees and occasional koala, parakeet and kangaroo. Road quite gravelly, slippery and steep in places - 4WD recommended if towing.
